no joke i got into an argument last weekend with someone who thought that the original 8 Series didnt have an M8 variant was because BMW didnt want people reffering to their car as “mate” because it wasnt tough enough and thats why the 1st gen M8 was actually the 850i (which is also incorrect as it was the 850CSi that was M-Tuned though not a full M car)
